Insurance coverage varies by provider and individual benefit plan. It is your responsibility to confirm whether your plan covers the services provided. Stephen is a Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling (MPCC) and is not a Registered Psychologist or Registered Social Worker. Please verify your eligibility for reimbursement with your insurance provider before your appointment.
In 2024, the Association of Counselling Therapy of Alberta (ACTA) partnered with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) to advance the regulation of counsellors in Alberta. Once the profession is regulated under Alberta's Health Professions Act, counsellors are expected to have greater recognition and broader coverage through extended health insurance plans.
